The whitewashed brick building from outside, its tiled roof caving in over empty upper windows and rusted bars below, with plastic pipes dumped in the grass. It sets the scene: a small forgotten block left to the weeds. — 01 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A ground-floor room of fallen boards and graffiti-covered pillars, low sun pouring through barred windows. Light and debris show how open the building now is to the outside. — 02 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A long concrete corridor strewn with boards and broken glass, tags covering the far walls. The rough ceiling and bare pillars show the building stripped to its shell. — 03 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

Looking out through a barred window past a tagged board to an overgrown yard and bare winter trees. The frame contrasts the dim interior with the bright world just outside. — 04 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A small concrete room with every wall covered in layered graffiti, broken glass and window frames on the floor. It shows how thoroughly the place has been claimed by taggers. — 05 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

Old window frames and doors stacked against the walls of a peeling concrete room, a tagged board with a smiley leaning in front. Leftover fittings hint at a building gutted piece by piece. — 06 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A narrow doorway under rusted steel beams opens into a small graffiti-marked room, plastic bags and rubble on the floor. The flaking paint and litter show years of neglect. — 07 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

07 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A roofless wooden pavilion carpeted in dry leaves and broken window frames, tattered roofing hanging overhead. Beyond the low brick wall, the everyday street carries on beside the ruin. — 08 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A corner of the pavilion with a PVC window hanging askew from its frame, insulation spilling from the rotten roof. Through it, a bright green pitch sits just past the fence. — 09 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

09 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A pair of grey steel garage doors thick with tags and a sportswear sticker, under a sagging rusted roof edge. The doors are the building's sealed face, patched and painted over many times. — 10 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

The inside of the steel doors, marked with a large painted number, beside walls buried under colourful graffiti and a roof open to the sky. It shows the garage bay abandoned and half exposed. — 11 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A long tiled washroom lies open to the sky, its roof collapsed into a heap of beams, sheeting and leaves between graffiti-covered walls. The row of wall fittings on the left hints at the shower stalls it once held. — 12 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A padded bench with a mouldy green cover sits against a wall layered in graffiti, beside a painted cubicle number and a room whose roof has fallen in. Litter and cans pile up around its legs, the remains of later visitors. — 13 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

The end wall of the washroom, its white tiles tagged with a red heart and a sprayed year, stands under broken asbestos sheeting and an exposed brick gable. Leaves and planks from the fallen roof cover the floor. — 14 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A small whitewashed room with one sunlit window is covered wall to wall in black and coloured tags, with broken roof sheeting heaped in the corner. The low ceiling and bare walls make it feel like a cell. — 15 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

15 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A cramped room with a sagging, water-stained ceiling frames a broken window full of bare branches, every wall below it tagged in layers of spray paint. Shattered panes and rubble lie on the floor. — 16 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

16 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

Two rough wooden posts prop up the lintel of a doorway beneath a pair of metal hatches hanging open into the roof space. Through the door is the small tagged room with its single window. — 17 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

17 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

Looking up at the same hatches, the old timber roof shows through, its tiles slipping and letting in shards of light. A snapped beam rests on the corrugated sheeting above the graffiti. — 18 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

18 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

Collapsed rafters and leaning planks rise against a clear blue winter sky, with a bare tree reaching over the broken roofline. The structure is so open here that it barely counts as indoors. — 19 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

Three tiled shower bays stand side by side, their taps gone and their walls painted over with large graffiti pieces. A fallen metal strut cuts across the frame and dead leaves drift against the base. — 20 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro

A broken double window looks out from the dark interior onto a sunny winter street and tall buildings on a distant hill. The glass hangs in jagged shards from the frame. — 21 / 21shot on Pixel 8 Pro
